Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing a special card you can use for the Holidays. I’m in love with the Sweetest Christmas Suite found on pages 8-11 in the July-December Mini Catalog. I just can’t get enough of those amazing candy canes!
This is a super easy Holiday card to make especially if you purchase the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series paper as it has lots of already stamped candy cane images that you can use the dies to cut out or you can fussy cut with your paper snips.
Materials:
●Real Red cardstock: 8 1⁄2” x 5 1⁄2”, score at 4 1⁄4”
● Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper:
Small candy canes 4 1/16” x 5 5/16”
Red with white spots 1 7/8” x 5”
● Garden Green cardstock 3 1⁄2” x 4 3⁄4”
● Basic White cardstock 2 5/8” x 3 15/16”
● Real Red cardstock 2 1⁄2” x 3⁄4”
● White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon 5 1/8” and 7 1/16”
To Make This Card:
- Score the Real Red cardstock at 4 1⁄4” and use a bone folder to make a crisp fold along the score line
- Add the Small candy cane designer series paper to the front of the card using your favorite adhesive.
- Add the red with white spots designer series paper to the right-hand side of the card using your favorite adhesive.
- Wrap the 5 1/8” piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon across the Designer Series Paper and adhere to the back using Mini Glue Dots.
- Die cut the Garden Green cardstock using the 2nd largest scalloped rectangle die from the Scalloped Contours Dies. Adhere towards the left side of the card using dimensionals
- Add the Basic White cardstock piece to the center of the Garden Green die cut using your favorite adhesive.
- Die cut or fussy cut out two of the candy canes from the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series paper and attach them to the front of the Basic White cardstock using dimensionals.
- Make a banner with the Real Red cardstock using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
- Using VersaMark ink, stamp “Peace & Joy” from Trimming the Tree Stamp Set onto the center of the Real Red label.
- Cover in White Embossing Powder and heat with Heat Tool until melted and glossy.
- Attach the sentiment to the front of the candy canes.
- Tie a bow with the remaining ribbon and attach to the card using glue dots.
- Add 3 Red Rhinestone jewels to the front of the card.
