Welcome to our Creativity Abounds Design Team August Blog Hop! We’re a group of Stampin’ Up Demonstrators from across the world that create two projects a month with the goal of inspiring you to make cards.
Here is our incredible team…
This month we are showcasing Anything but Christmas! We can select anything from the July-December Mini Catalog or Annual Catalog to make our cards or projects. I have a number of customers that really celebrate Halloween, so I decided to use the Best Witches Stamp Set to make a Halloween Gift Bag. I’m also using the Black & White Designer Series paper and the Black & White Gingham Ribbon to make the Gift Bag.

You can fill the Gift Bag with candy or add a gift card.
To Make a Best Witches Gift Bag
- Cut a 5.5″ x 9.0 (14.9 cm x 22 cm) piece of Black & White Designer Series paper and score at 4.0″ (10 cm) and 8.5″ (21.5 cm) on the horizontal side. Then score at 0.5″ on the vertical side. Use a bone folder to make crisp folds on each of the score lines
- Use tear-n-tape to attach the two ends together along the 8.5″ (21.5 cm) score line. Then use Tear-n-Tape to the 0.5″ score line to attach the bottom of the bag.
- Use the large zig zag border die from the Basic Border Dies and the Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine to cut a zig zag border on the top of the Gift Bag.
- Stamp the Witch with the Brewing Pot onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Basic Black ink.
- Use Paper Snips to cut out the Witch with the Brewing Pot.
- Use Markers or Blends to color the image. I used Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, and Real Red Markers.
- Attach the colored Witch with the Brewing Pot to the front of the Gift Bag using dimensionals.
- Stamp the ” You’ve put a SPELL on me ” sentiment from the Best Witches Stamp Set onto Basic White cardstock using Basic Black ink.
- Punch out the sentiment using the Label Me Fancy Punch and attach the sentiment to the front of the Gift Bag using dimensionals.
- Tie a bow using the Black & White Gingham Ribbon and attach it on the side of the sentiment using a glue dot.
