Casually Crafting Blog Hop

The Casually Crafting Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, gathered together to share our passion for creativity with you. Our focus is to bring you inspiration featuring projects that are easy to create while still packing a powerful creative punch. The projects are made with only a few products, making them ideally suited to a beginner or casual crafter.

This month is a Sketch Challenge. Look at all the sketch below and take a moment to think about what type of card you might design …

I changed the orientation of my card for the sketch challenge. I decided to use the Cottage Rose Stamp Set and the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper to create my card.

The card is very simple – standard card base 4.25″ x 11.0″ (10.5 cm x 29.7 cm) made out of Early Espresso. There are three panels on the front of the card. I love the dark background and white flowered paper and used it on the 2.75″ x 4.0″ (6.5 cm x 10.0 cm) center panel which I colored with Daffodil Delight Combo Blends. I also added Wink of Stella to give each flower a little glitter. I stamped the leaf images from the Cottage Rose Stamp Set onto the two 1.0″ x 4.0″ (2.5 cm x 10.0 cm) Basic White panels using Granny Apple Green ink. I also used the new Handmade Tag Punch, that can be found on page 21 of the July-December Mini Catalog, for the sentiment. I punched two Handmade Tags -one out of Early Espresso and the second one out of Basic White cardstock. I cut the Early Espresso Tag in half and attached it to each side of the Basic White Tag. I used the Daffodil Delight Blends to color the Silver Metallic Edge Cotton Ribbon and attached it to the bottom of the sentiment with a glue dot.

I stamped leaves on the right-hand side of a piece of Basic White cardstock and attached it to the inside of the card.
