We are a group of Stampin’ Up Demonstrators from around the world and our goal is to inspire you to make and send cards to family and friends. We’re trying something new, and we hope you’ll enjoy the variety. Designers can use the image or the color challenge or both as our inspiration for creating our cards or projects. Here is April’s image and color challenge
I designed my card using the five colors -Pear Pizzazz, Bermuda Bay, Misty Moonlight, Rich Razzleberry, and Blushing Bride. I wanted to make a flower bouquet for this project and the Quiet Meadow Bundle was the perfect set.
To Make This Card:
- Cut a 5.5″ x 7.0″ piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and score at 4.25″. Use a bone folder to make a crisp fold on the score line.
- Cut a 2.5″ x 5.25″ piece of Basic cardstock and use the flower stamp from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set to stamp random flowers onto the Basic White cardstock using Bermuda Bay ink. This stamped Basic White cardstock will be attached to the front flap of the card using your favorite adhesive.
- Cut a 4.0″ x 5.25″ pieces of Basic White cardstock and use the flower stamp from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set to stamp a row of flowers onto the right-hand side of the Basic White cardstock using Bermuda Bay ink. This stamped Basic White cardstock will be attached to the inside of the card using your favorite adhesive.
- Cut a 2.5″ x 4.0″ pieces of Basic White cardstock using the third to the largest rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
- Cut a 2.75″ x 4.25″ piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock to be used as a mat behind the stitched Basic White rectangle.
- Select four different flowers with stem dies from the Meadow Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. For each flower die cut out using Pear Pizzazz and the flower highlight color – either Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry, or Misty Moonlight. Cut out the colored flowered pieces and glue to the Pear Pizzazz stem.
- Arrange the flowers and stems on the stitched Basic White rectangle and attach with your favorite adhesive.
- Stamp the “Thinking of You” sentiment from the Quiet Meadow Stamp set onto Basic White cardstock using Bermuda Bay ink. Cut out the sentiment using the stitched banner from the Meadow Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
- Attach the sentiment to cover the stems at the bottom of the card using dimensionals.
- Attach 5 Brushed Brass Butterflies to the front of the card.
- Attach the center piece to the left-hand side of the card using dimensionals.

We used the same set! I really like how you used the large flower to stamp the floral background. The possibilities with the die cuts are endless – I hope you won’t mind if I case you.
Hi Karen, of course you can CASE my background. I think it’s so great that we can all get great ideas from each other.
