Welcome to our Creativity Abounds Design Team March Blog Hop! We’re a group of Stampin’ Up Demonstrators from across the world that create two projects a month with the goal of inspiring you to make cards.
Here is our incredible team…
This month we created cards using the Fancy Flora Suite in the Jan-April Mini Catalog. I used both the Two-Tone Flora stamp set and dies as well as the Something Fancy sentiments and dies to create my card. I also used the Fancy Flora Designer Series paper.
Here is my Card:
To Make this Card:
- Cut a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (14.9 cm x 21.0 cm) piece of Calypso Coral cardstock and score at 4 1/4″ (10.5 cm). Use a bone folder to make a crisp fold on the score line. Cut 1″ (2.5 cm) off the top of the card front.
- Cut a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (10.5 cm x 14.9 cm) piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and attach it to an adhesive sheet.
- Use the large flower frame from the Two-Tone Flora Die set and Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out the large flower frame out of the Daffodil Delight cardstock.
- Remove the adhesive sheet and attach the Daffodil Delight large flower frame to the inside of the card.
- Cut a 4.0″ x 4 1/4″ (10.0 cm x 10.5 cm) piece of Fancy Flora Designer Series paper and emboss it with the Cross Hatch Design Embossing Folder and Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
- Attach the embossed Fancy Flora Designer Series paper to the front flap of the card using your favorite adhesive.
- Use the large flower die from the Two-Tone Flora Dies set and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out three flowers out of the Fancy Flora Designer Series paper.
- Stamp the “With deepest Sympathy” sentiment onto Daffodil Delight cardstock using Calypso Coral ink.
- Use the small oval label die from the Something Fancy Dies and Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out the sentiment.
- Attach the Daffodil Delight sentiment to the lower portion of the card front using your favorite adhesive.
- Attach the three large flowers onto of the sentiment.
- Tie a bow using the Calypso Coral Ribbon and attach to the bottom of the sentiment using a Glue Dot.
- Cut a 4.0″ x 4 1/4″ (10.0 cm x 10.5 cm) piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and attach it to the inside of the card flap.
- Use Calypso Coral ink and the Two-Tone flower images to stamp a flower on the lower portion of the Daffodil Delight cardstock.
