As promised, I’ve created two different items using the Apple Harvest Bundle that is available until the end of the month.
I made a Get-Well Card for my dear friend, Nancy who is recovering from a fractured pelvis. This simple card uses Blushing Bride, Granny Apple Green, and Basic White cardstock. I colored the image using Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Flity Flamingo, and Granny Apple Green markers. I used the flower dies to accent the card using Basic White and Bushing Bride cardstock and highlighted the flowers with daubers using Blushing Bride ink. I used the label die from the Apple Harvest Bundle for the sentiment using Early Expresso ink. I decorated the inside using a piece of retired Tropical Escape Designer Series paper that I cut with the border die from the Apple Harvest Bundle. I really like how it turned out!
I also made a Teacher Appreciation Box to recognize the many talented people who teach children and young adults across the country. I taught high school Biology and Chemistry for 10 years at a public school and at the beginning of September I always dream of the first day of school each year.
This wonderful little box was made using Poppy Parade cardstock, Thick Basic White cardstock, and Black/White Designer Series paper. I colored the image using Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, and Poppy Parade markers. I cut out the image using the matching dies in the Apple Harvest Bundle. I also added the border die from the Apple Harvest Bundle dies to make a Poppy Parade accent on the side of the box. The sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade ink and cut out with Layering Oval Dies.
I’ll be teaching how to make this box using Rustic Harvest Designer Series paper and sentiments for Thanksgiving this month. We’ll be making three Thanksgiving cards and this special gift box that you can use for place settings for your Thanksgiving Celebration or hostess gifts if you go to someone else’s home. Attend the class in person at Sea Ranch on September 20th at the Del Mar Center from 1 to 3pm PST OR in Sunnyvale on September 24th from 10am to 12pm PST.
